A good overall European Circuit?
I’m going to be studying in Switzerland for 1/2 year in the spring semester, and I was wondering – what do you think is a good circuit, of countries to visit?
I’ve been to spain, italy, france, portugal, so I really want to cover the northern/eastern sides of switzerland (And if possible the scandinavian countries).
What places can I visit on the weekends? I also have one 14 day break, and one week off – which would be suitable then? Thanks!
Also, if anyone knows of a good website with distance maps – I have no concept of distance or time , are trains the best travel method?
well youve not been very precise on the info that you want have you.
Trains are very quick, cheap and effective in Europe they run on time and are v good.
I think to get to the scandanavian countries you would have to do a lot of travelling over quite a long period of time have a look on the following website, it may be of help. It tells you all the train times in Europe but not the prices but this is very precise. Trust me

From Switzerland you should head into Austria, Slovakia, Slovenia as a must, these are three lovely countires and Slovakia and Slovenia are super cheap.
You need to look at what you wnat, warm weather/skiing/history/walking/partying to decide where to go.
If you want to go further afield itr might make sense to look at flying – Try Whizz air Jet2.com, easyjet, RyanAir as these all have cheap short haul flights across Europe!
